Use marigolds to protect your plants

Marigolds are an effective plant for preventing bugs from eating your small plants. While they may not smell the most pleasant, marigolds are nonetheless a pretty addition to your garden and play a vital role in deterring some insects. Consider placing several marigold plants around the perimeter of your strawberry patch for instance.
